What to do in Zion ? 

Below are just a few of the more unusual  opportunities that might be if interest to you if you stay at Under-The-Eaves. There are many more companies and activities than the few listed here; if you want to see others, please check the Zion Canyon Visitors Bureau at www.zionpark.com or Shiney Lewis (a 'local') has a great list of options, ideas and experiences, as well as general Springdale info., at her site.

 

 


Zion Cycles offers bicycle rentals for the entire family. Whether your riding Gooseberry Mesa or the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive, stop by for trail advice or browse the huge selection of parts, accessories, trail maps & more. Expert mechanic on duty for all your service needs. Located in the Zion Outdoor Center, behind the Zion Pizza Noodle Co., just 1 mile from the entrance of Zion National Park. Open 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM everyday.

Zion Rock and Mountain Guides. They are the Southern Utah adventure experts. Zion Rock and Mountain Guides offers "the most comprehensive guide service in Southern Utah". Whether climbing on rock, on ice, exploring incredible slot canyons, or hiking the Zion Virgin River Narrows, we have an adventure for you. On your own or with one of our guides/instructors our staff can help you plan and achieve your outdoor adventure goals.

Zion Rock and Mountain Guides is 1/2 mile south of Under-The-Eaves. 

Zion Canyon Field Institute (ZCFI). The mission of ZCFI is to educate and inspire local, national and international visitors to the greater Zion National Park ecosystem and environment through intensive and innovative classes that immerse visitors in the field. These 1-, 2-, and 3-day classes will provide visitors unique opportunities to investigate the vast natural and cultural resources of the park and its surrounds. Visiting instructors expert in science, the humanities, and the arts will emphasize learning through adventurous hands-on exploration.

Horse Back Riding in Zion : You'll see The Three Patriarchs, the Beehives, and take a breathtaking jaunt through beautiful cactus gardens; or follow the Virgin River for about one mile to the Court of the Patriarchs and return you back to the loading corral. For a more adventurous horseback ride the 1/2 day trip will take you around the Sandbench Trail, gradually ascending 500 feet giving you a spectacular view of the Southern end of the valley.

Springdale Tanner Amphitheater Enjoy a performance in the stunning 2000-seat outdoor amphitheater surrounded by the cliffs of Zion National Park located at the End of Lion Boulevard in Springdale.  Live concerts every Saturday night at 8:00 from Mid-May to September, including Symphony, Blue-Grass, Folk, Country, Dance, Celtic, New-Age and Jazz.
